At Steon we take pride in the diverse range of services we can provide to our clients in order to facilitate them in completing their lighting projects. Enquiries vary in complexity, some may simply require a recommendation as to luminaire specification, while others may demand special consideration as to the lux levels or the desired effect the client hopes to achieve. In some instances there may be limitations due to the application which can, on occasion, call for a more bespoke solution.
With the services offered we endeavour to deliver the complete package in terms of conceptual design, product development, supply and after sales service.
To understand the scope and requirements of a project, a Steon representative will often undertake a complementary site survey before briefing our in-house lighting design team.
Steon’s LIA accredited specialist designers have exceptional product knowledge and technical experience. Utilising Relux and CAD design programmes, our team can produce 3D visuals illustrating what our solutions can deliver within the parameters outlined by the client.
As part of this collaboration between the client and the design team we are able to recommend intelligent controls and light management systems that further enhances the functionality and operation of an installation.
Industry trends have encouraged us to expand our design capabilities to ensure we continue to support our clients as they adopt real world digital construction. Consequently, we have implemented a BIM (Building Information Modelling) strategy and continue to expand our library of resources. We utilise the Autodesk creative suite to produce our BIM files, as a result they are all native to Revit®.
The product design team are an intrinsic part Steon’s creative process and contribute greatly to our product development and innovations. On occasion they will turn their attention to developing a bespoke solution specifically to meet a client’s requirements. We recognise that one size does not fit all and that certain projects require specialist solutions, whether they be retrofitted or completely original.
If it is impractical to replace existing enclosures, retrofitted solutions can be tailor-made to afford the client the freedom to retain the existing housings whilst also benefiting from LED technologies.
All bespoke solutions are developed and conceptualised within a 3D environment using SolidWorks® software.
Considerable investment has been made to our in-house testing facilities. We can certify our products as being fully compliant with relevant industry standards and regulations. Practicing thorough luminaire testing affords us great confidence in the quality and reliability of all our products; this is reflected in the warranties we provide.
We have increasingly brought our testing in-house, limiting our dependence on third party test houses. The recent acquisition of our goniospectrometer enables us to undertake our own photometric testing and ensure the product information we make available through our website is as up to date as possible.
